Lia Schaefer

Lia Schaefer is an experienced behavioral health specialist currently employed at Ritter Center since July 2017, where Lia provides services as part of an integrated care team and facilitates DBT group training. Previous roles include serving as a therapist and clinical supervisor at Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, where Lia also instructed UC Berkeley practicum students, and as a Care Coordinator III at HealthRIGHT 360, focusing on psychotherapy and substance abuse counseling. Lia's early career featured internships at Tenderloin Outpatient Clinic and SF Behavioral Health Center, working with homeless individuals and adults with dual diagnoses. Lia holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the same institution.
