Amber Young, PMP

Amber Young has over 10 years of work experience in various roles in the engineering and technology field. Amber is currently the Director of Telecommunications Strategy & Policy at RKF Engineering Solutions, LLC since January 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Radio Frequency Engineer at Alion Science and Technology from August 2015 to January 2020. Amber also served as an Associate/Lead Technologist at Booz Allen Hamilton from July 2010 to August 2015, where they worked on projects related to the Department of Homeland Security and Advanced Wireless Services. Amber started their career as a Technical Assistant at the Center for Diversity in Engineering, University of Virginia from August 2007 to July 2010, and as an IT Intern at Booz Allen Hamilton and Northrop Grumman in 2009 and 2007 respectively.

From 2006 to 2010, Amber attended the University of Virginia, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree. Their field of study included Engineering and Applied Science, with a focus in Management Systems Engineering and Engineering Business.

Prior to their university education, Amber attended Oakton High School, which is part of the Fairfax County Public Schools system. Amber received an Advanced Diploma from Oakton High School during the period of 2003 to 2006. The field of study for their high school diploma is not specified.

In addition to their educational background, Amber Young has obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2019.
