Richard Groenewegen

Richard Groenewegen has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Richard currently serves as the Executive Director and Head of Investment Data Engineering at Robeco since February 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director and Head of Investment Data Engineering at Robeco from February 2020 to February 2023. Additionally, they served as a Technical Portfolio Manager at Robeco from June 2018 to February 2020.

Before joining Robeco, Richard worked at NN Investment Partners as a Quantitative Strategist from July 2014 to May 2018. Prior to this, they held the position of Director - FX and Indices Structurer at Royal Bank of Scotland from October 2007 to June 2014.

Richard's early work experience includes working as a Quantitative Risk Analyst at ABN AMRO from 2003 to 2007. In this role, they were involved in various tasks such as counterparty exposure modeling, multi-asset modeling for expected and potential exposure models, and implementation of Monte Carlo simulation.

Richard started their career as an AIO at Universiteit Leiden, where they worked from 1999 to 2003.

Richard Groenewegen attended the University of Amsterdam from 1993 to 1999, earning a Master of Science degree in Mathematics. Richard then pursued further education at Leiden University from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a PhD in Mathematics. In 2006 to 2007, Richard attended the Fotoacademie, though the degree and field of study are unspecified.
