Jesse Watkins

Jesse Watkins has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Ramp Agent for Swissport, where they loaded/unloaded aircraft, transported baggage, and maintained the ramp area. In 2014, they joined Raytheon as a Remote Pilot Operator, providing training support for various airports. They continued this role at The Washington Consulting Group, Inc from 2015 to 2020, supporting training for multiple airports. In 2020, Jesse worked as an Air Traffic Systems Ramp Controller for United Airlines, controlling aircraft movement in ramp/gate areas. They also held the role of Air Traffic Controller at SUNY Schenectady County Community College from 2020 to 2023, focusing on separating ground and airborne air traffic. Currently, Jesse is working as a Ramp Tower Controller at Robinson Aviation (RVA), Inc, responsible for the safe flow of air traffic on non-movement areas of the airport.

The most recent certification Jesse obtained is the FAA Air Traffic Control Operator certification, also from the Federal Aviation Administration, which they earned in February 2022.
