Asma Ali

Asma Ali has extensive work experience in the banking and financial services industry. Asma is currently serving as a Non-Executive Director at RoosterMoney since 2022. Previously, they held various roles at NatWest Group, including Head of Controls Optimisation - Digital, Technology, Data & Automation starting in October 2021, Head of Audit, Technology and Global Chair, Families & Carers Employee Led Network starting in May 2018, and Senior Audit Manager from March 2014 to May 2018. At NatWest Group, they were responsible for ensuring the bank and its customers' safety through leading high-performing teams, designing effective audit strategies, and providing independent assurance. Prior to that, Asma worked at Lloyds Banking Group as a Technology Audit Manager from November 2010 to February 2014, where they identified key risk areas, developed and managed stakeholder relationships, and led the delivery of audit strategies for technology. Asma began their career at Ernst & Young as a Consultant in EMEA Financial Services Advisory from June 2007 to November 2010, where they gained experience in IT Risk & Assurance, led complex external audits, and evaluated the effectiveness of IT controls.

Asma Ali attended the University of Strathclyde from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering. Asma achieved a 2:1 classification in their degree.
