Rebecca Simpson

Rebecca Simpson has a diverse and extensive work experience in procurement and supply chain management. Rebecca most recently served as the Chief Procurement Officer at Royal Mail starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Balfour Beatty plc as the Procurement and Supply Chain Director from 2021 to 2023, where they successfully increased employee engagement scores, secured new contracts, and implemented improved governance controls.

Before their role at Balfour Beatty, Rebecca worked at Wood as the Global Supply Chain Director from 2019 to 2021 and as the Vice President Supply Chain from 2018 to 2019. Rebecca was responsible for strategic direction, integration and alignment of the supply chain, delivering cost synergies, and leading transformational plans for the team.

Rebecca Simpson attended Nottingham Trent University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) 2:1 in Industrial Management. Rebecca then pursued a Diploma in Management Studies at Nottingham Trent University from 1997 to 1998. In 1996 and 1997, they also studied at the University of Derby, earning an MCIPS qualification from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. Additionally, Rebecca holds a certification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
