John O'Connell

John O'Connell has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. John is currently working at Sage Therapeutics as the Head of HEOR Operations since July 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director, Global Outcomes & Epidemiology Research at Takeda Pharmaceuticals from 2014 to 2020. Before joining Takeda, John worked as a Life Sciences Consultant at their own company, John O'Connell Consulting, from 2003 to 2014. John also worked as Director, Business Operations, Health Economics at Evidera from 2012 to 2013 and as part of the Outcomes Management HEOR team at Bayer HealthCare from 2009 to 2010. Earlier in their career, they were the Head of HEOR Operations at Sanofi from 2005 to 2009.
