Cylenia Benefield Sphr

Cylenia Benefield SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Cylenia is currently the Director of Human Resources at Sagis, PLLC since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Human Resources Manager at CasinoTech from September 2019 to March 2021.

From February 2013 to January 2019, Cylenia worked as the Human Resources Manager at Sumner Mfg, A Southwire Company. Cylenia played a key role in managing and executing all HR functions, including regulatory compliance, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, training and development, investigations, strategic planning, staffing, on-boarding, and terminations. Cylenia also served as an effective change agent and provided counsel to the leadership.

Before that, Cylenia held the position of Human Resources Manager at The VMC Group from September 2008 to February 2013. Cylenia managed HR and related functions for the company, which specializes in custom engineering and manufacturing products for seismic and vibration challenges.

Cylenia's work experience also includes serving as a Human Resources Generalist/Manager at Liftmoore Crane from August 2007 to August 2008, as well as a Customer Service Manager at Powercard International from October 2000 to June 2005.

Cylenia started their career at the U.S. Census Bureau, where they worked as an Assistant Manager of Administration from January 2000 to October 2000. In this role, Cylenia led a team of administrative workers responsible for processing applications and managing various HR tasks.

Additionally, Cylenia served as a Senior Trainer at West Teleservices from February 1996 to January 1999.

Throughout their career, Cylenia has showcased their expertise in managing HR functions, leading teams, and providing strategic guidance to organizations. Cylenia'sexperience spans various industries, including commercial construction, military, public works, energy, and customer service.

Cylenia Benefield SPHR, SHRM-SCP completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Organizational Communication and Human Resources from the University of South Alabama, where they attended from 2002 to 2006. Cylenia further enhanced their professional credentials by obtaining additional certifications. In April 2010, they obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management). Later on, in December 2020, they acquired the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI (Human Resource Certification Institute). Additionally, they obtained a CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Heart Association in June 2019.
