Captain Jennifer Norwood

Captain Jennifer Norwood has over 20 years of experience in the maritime industry. From 1999 to 2010, they worked for the GlobalSantaFe Corporation as a Master/OIM. From 2008 to 2010, they worked for Maersk Drilling as an Offshore Installation Manager and QMHSE Manager and Director. From 2010 to 2016, they worked for the Pacific Drilling Company as a Master. From 2016 to the present, they have been an Associate Professor at the Maine Maritime Academy, as well as an Assistant Professor, Instructor, and Lab Tech/Teach Asst. Captain Jennifer is currently the Head of Operations & Customer Success at SailPlan.

Captain Jennifer Norwood earned a Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M University between 1993 and 1997. Captain Jennifer then went on to receive a Master of Science (M.S.) in International Logistics Management from the Maine Maritime Academy between 2017 and 2018. Currently, they are pursuing a PhD in Leadership Studies from the University of Southern Maine.
