Tanya Sinclair

Tanya Sinclair, CHRE has extensive work experience in the field of human resources and talent management. Starting in 2001, they held various HR positions at Home Depot and Future Shop (Best Buy Canada). Tanya then worked as an HR Manager at Brampton Public Library before becoming a Professor at Centennial College and Durham College. In 2009, Sinclair joined Pickering Public Library as the Director of HR & Chief Engagement Officer, a role they held for ten years. Tanya then served as the Chief People Officer at Artscape before becoming the Director of Talent Management at Toronto Metropolitan University. In 2022, Sinclair worked as the Director of People & Culture at Leap Tools and is currently serving as the Senior Director of Culture & Employee Experience at SE Health. Throughout their career, they focused on creating inclusive and innovative workplaces, implementing strategic talent plans, and driving organizational effectiveness and culture.

Tanya Sinclair, CHRE, holds a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (MAIS) with a focus on Leadership & Communication from Royal Roads University, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Tanya also completed Adult Education Undergraduate Courses at Brock University in 2012-2013 and earned a Teacher of Adults Certificate, High Honours, in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching from Centennial College in 2012. Tanya's education history also includes a degree in Human Resources Management from Sheridan College, specializing in HR and holding the CHRL designation, from 2002 to 2004. Tanya pursued Management and Community Studies at Ryerson University from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, Tanya has obtained the CHROS designation from the HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association in 2018 and previously obtained the CHRL and CHRP certifications in 2005. Tanya is currently adding to their educational background with a certificate in Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging in the Workplace from George Brown College Continuing Education, which they expect to complete in 2022.
