Chris Goodings

VP Engineering at Salience Labs

Chris Goodings has a long and varied work experience. Chris began their career in 1993 as a Senior Research Scientist at Philips Research Laboratories, where they were the project leader for an RF front-end research project and the technical project leader for an embedded baseband GPS IC. In 1999, they moved to VTech Communications Ltd as an IC Design Manager, where they were responsible for the specification of both analogue and digital parts of a consumer product involving Bluetooth technology. In 2001, they joined Mansella as an IC Design Manager, where they were responsible for the specification and development of power management and mixed signal baseband devices. In 2004, they moved to Icera Semiconductor Inc as a Team Leader and Project Manager, creating a high performance custom processor in 40nm. In 2011, they joined NVIDIA as an Electronics Programme Manager, responsible for programme management, system design, system simulation and reporting. In 2015, they moved to Blu Wireless Technology Ltd as VP Systems and Software, responsible for teams developing silicon, hardware platforms, low-level drivers and system software for mmWave communication systems. In 2017, they joined Graphcore as VP Engineering Operations and Director, Technical Product Management. Finally, in 2023 they joined Salience Labs as VP Engineering.

Chris Goodings attended the University of Oxford from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics. Chris then attended the University of Cambridge from 1988 to 1993, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the Microelectronics Research Group.
