Brian C.

Brian C. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Brian began their career in the United States Army, where they worked as a Non-Communications Interceptor Analyst from 1991 to 1995. Following their military service, Brian worked at Electronic Data Systems as a UNIX Systems Administrator, supporting a large number of workstations and servers. Brian also performed various tasks such as hardware installations, user account management, and backup procedures. Brian then transitioned to a similar role at Conseco, where they continued to support UNIX servers, primarily focusing on Oracle environments. During their time at Ingersoll Rand, Brian served as a UNIX System Administrator and was involved in a data center consolidation project. Brian also gained experience in supporting Oracle environments, designing disaster recovery procedures, and managing storage systems. Brian further enhanced their skills as they worked as a Consultant at Ambassador Solutions. Brian then joined Midwest ISO, Inc. as a Sr. Platform Architect and UNIX Systems Administrator, working on various projects related to platform architecture. Brian later joined Perpetual Technologies, Inc. as a System Integrator/Architect before moving on to Navient, where they served as an Information Security Technical Architect. Currently, Brian is the Director of Technology Operations at Sallie Mae.

Brian C. completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Indiana University Kokomo from 1998 to 2004. Prior to that, they pursued Accounting studies at Eastern Kentucky University from 1989 to 1991. Alongside their formal education, Brian obtained various certifications including Dynatrace Platform Associate from Dynatrace in 2024, Security Essentials - GSEC from GIAC in 2015, Oracle Solaris Certified Associate from Oracle in 2011, Comptia Security + Certified from CompTIA in 2010, and Certified HP-UX System Administrator from Hewlett-Packard in 1999.
