Shavonne Velez

Shavonne Velez has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Shavonne is currently working as a Talent Acquisition Manager at Salt & Straw since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Brainium Studios, starting as a People Operations Generalist and Recruiter in June 2021, then transitioning to a People Operations and Recruitment Manager in July 2021, and finally serving as a Sr. People Operations Manager from December 2021 to July 2022. At Brainium Studios, they gained extensive experience in HR, talent acquisition, employee relations, and employee engagement.

Before joining Brainium Studios, Shavonne worked at Ruby Receptionists from January 2014 to June 2021 as a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist. Shavonne was involved in talent acquisition activities throughout their tenure, contributing to the company's recruitment efforts. Prior to that, they worked at Tosoh Quartz as a Human Resources Assistant from March 2013 to September 2013, and at Netflix as a Customer Service representative from February 2011 to April 2013.

Shavonne's early work experience includes a role at Target as a Human Resources Team Member from October 2006 to May 2010, where they gained foundational knowledge in HR practices.
