Tony Cali, SHRM-CP

Tony Cali, SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Tony is currently working at Salt & Straw as the Human Resources Director, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Human Resources Manager at Salt & Straw starting from June 2021.

Before joining Salt & Straw, Tony worked at Whataburger as a Human Resources Business Partner from October 2018 to June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at ACA Talent as a Human Resources Manager from July 2014 to October 2018. At ACA Talent, they collaborated with the C-suite to develop HR strategies, policies, and infrastructure. Tony also advised and consulted with executives on various HR matters, such as performance management and employee relations. Tony played a key role in transitioning the company from a PEO service provider to a fully functioning HRIS and standalone payroll system. Tony also partnered with Talent Acquisition to develop job descriptions, compensation analysis, and other necessary documentation.

Tony's earlier experience includes working at Sodexo as a Human Resources Manager 2 from May 2013 to August 2014. Tony also served as an Internal Staffing Manager and a Human Resources Generalist - Special Projects at Sodexo. Prior to that, they worked as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Sodexo from August 2009 to March 2011. Tony's career in human resources began at State Farm Insurance, where they worked as a Human Resources professional from September 2005 to August 2009. Tony also gained experience as a Human Resources Specialist at Validex from June 2003 to August 2005.

Tony started their professional journey as a Market Research Intern at West Virginia University from August 2002 to May 2003.

Tony Cali, SHRM-CP, holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University. Tony also completed a PHR Prep program at Rice University in 2010. Additionally, Tony Cali obtained their SHRM-CP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in June 2016. Furthermore, they hold a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from West Virginia University.
