Alex Peay

Alex Peay is the Senior Vice President Of Product at SaltStack. Alex has held this position since November 2016.

Prior to joining SaltStack, Alex was the Director of Product Management at Domo, Inc. from July 2014 to November 2016. During their time at Domo, Alex successfully led a team that increased organic leads by 200%.

Before their time at Domo, Alex was the Sr. Product Manager, Cloud & Smarter Infrastructure at IBM from June 2004 to July 2014. At IBM, they were responsible for identifying new product opportunities, developing product strategies and plans, and leading product development teams. Alex also increased Sales Opportunities by 150%.

Alex began their career as a programmer at Integr8ted Technology Solutions in January 2002. Alex remained with the company as it became Insidesales.com and then Xant.com before leaving in December 2004.

Under Alex's leadership, SaltStack has been recognized as a leader by Forrester and Gartner in ITOps and SecOps. Alex has also executed multiple SaltConf Events with 100% growth year over year.

Alex Peay has a MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BS in Business Information Systems from Brigham Young University.

They are on a team with Thomas Hatch - CTO, Co-Founder, and Board Member, Benson Metcalf - COO and Board Member. Their manager is Marc Chenn, CEO, Co-Founder, and Board Member.
