Chrl Smita Mehta

Smita Mehta, CHRL has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Financial Analyst at IBM, where they were responsible for sales forecasting and variance analysis. Smita also received recognition for their project management skills. From 2006 to 2008, Smita worked as an Intermediate Staff Accountant at Ernst & Young, providing financial statement auditing services to various clients.

In 2011, Smita joined Henry's, a Canadian photography retailer, as an HR Generalist. In this role, they partnered with client groups for employee relations, disability management, recruitment, and HRIS administration. Smita worked at Henry's until 2016.

The following year, they worked as a Regional HR Generalist on a contract basis at BDO Canada, overseeing HR functions for their offices in Mississauga and Toronto. Smita then joined Samuel, Son & Co., a global metals and industrial products manufacturer, as a Human Resources Manager. In this position, they handled all HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and compliance.

Smita Mehta, CHRL, has a strong education background in the field of leadership, inclusion, and human resources. In 2022 and 2023, they attended Centennial College, earning a certificate in Leadership and Inclusion. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2011, they pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources at Humber College. In 2019 and 2020, Smita attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Smita'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Toronto.

In addition to their formal education, Smita Mehta has acquired various certifications. In 2018, they completed the "Data Exploration and Basic Statistics for Data Science" course offered by Sheridan College. In 2016, they obtained a certificate for the "Understanding Memory: Explaining the Psychology of Memory through Movies" course from Coursera Course Certificates.
