Leon Swanepoel

Leon Swanepoel has a diverse work experience starting as a Hydraulic Design Engineer at Petrel Group in 1995. Leon then moved on to Hyflo Southern Africa as an Engineering Sales Consultant before becoming an Independent Consultant in 1999. Later, they joined Intec Billing, now CSG Systems International, holding various roles including Support Manager and Development Manager. Eventually, they transitioned to Santam Insurance where they served as a Business Improvement Specialist, Business Architect, and Head of Business Process Optimization, working on optimizing business processes and enhancing customer experience.

Leon Swanepoel completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at Stellenbosch University from 1990 to 1993. Leon then pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from 1994 to 1995 at the same institution. Later, they obtained a Diploma in Senior Management Development Programme from Stellenbosch Business School in 2011. In 2012, they earned a Masters in Engineering Management specializing in Operations Management and Business Process Optimization from Stellenbosch University. Additionally, Leon holds certifications in various fields such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, IoT Foundations, Systems Thinking, and others.
