In 2009, they completed Executive Education at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in Open Innovation & Corporate Entrepreneurship. Additionally, they obtained certifications from FEMA Emergency Management Institute (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700A, IS-800B) in August of 2009 and an Extra Class Radio Operator certification from the Federal Communications Commission in May of 2007. Finally, they obtained a Professional Certificate in Strategic Decision and Risk Management from Stanford University between 2014 and 2016.
