Helene Smith has extensive work experience in project coordination and management. Helene began their career in 1996 at Hewlett-Packard Company as a Project Support Coordinator, a role they held until 2002. At Pearson, they worked from 2002 to 2019, holding various roles including Senior Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Business Process Manager, Executive Assistant to the President, and Project Coordinator/Asset Manager. In these positions, they gained experience in onboarding and training new project management staff, providing IT project accounting budget and spend reporting support, supporting project SharePoint sites setup, and overseeing project-related processes and activities. Since 2019, they have been working as a Senior Project Coordinator at Savvas Learning Co (formerly Pearson K12 Learning).

Helene Smith's education history includes a variety of certifications and degrees. In 2001, they attended the University of Phoenix and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Marketing, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management, which they completed in 2003.
