Shannon Buchanan, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of education. In 2001, they began their career as a High School Science Teacher at Township High School District 113, where they taught until 2006. Following that, they worked as a High School Science Teacher at Granite School District from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2012, Shannon served as the State Science Specialist at the Utah State Office of Education. Shannon then pursued their Doctoral degree and worked as a Doctoral Candidate at Argosy University from 2014 to 2016. In 2015, they joined Uintah School District Lng Ctr as an Instructional Coach and District Science Specialist K-12, where they worked until 2022. Shannon further gained experience as a Managing Editor Science and Subject Matter Expert - science at QBS Learning from 2022 to 2023. Shannon Buchanan, Ed.D. obtained their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree from Argosy University in the years 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Northwestern University in 2000 to 2001. Their education journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of Alaska Anchorage, which they attained from 1994 to 1998.
