Charles Thornburgh has a long and varied career in the educational and technology sectors. Charles began their career in 1999 as Co-Founder of ClickSafety, an online safety training and records management business. In 2005, they joined Kaplan, Inc. as Division President and SVP, Strategic Initiatives, where they were a member of the senior executive team through a period of extreme growth in Kaplan's Higher Ed business. In 2007, they became President of Kaplan Virtual Education. In 2011, they founded Civitas Learning and served as both Founder and Vice Chairperson and Founder and Chief Executive Officer. In 2014, they became a Director of Aceable. In 2016, they became a Director of the Andy Roddick Foundation. In 2018, they became a Director of United Way for Greater Austin. In 2020, they became a Director of Stealth Edu Startup, SchooLinks, and Upswing.
Charles Thornburgh attended Lowell High School from 1987 to 1991 and received a High School degree. Charles then attended Stanford University from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a BA in Political Science.
