Jan Robertson

Jan Robertson has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jan is currently serving as the Interim Director of Global Trade at Scottish Development International since January 2022. Prior to this, they held various positions at Scottish Enterprise, starting as the Head of Financial Readiness in September 2013 and then transitioning to the role of Interim Director of Growth Investments from November 2020 to September 2021. From August 2016 until their current role, they served as the Head of Investment Management, Growth Investments, where they played a vital role in growing Scotland's early stage funding market.

Before joining Scottish Enterprise, Jan worked at Ernst & Young from June 2001 to September 2013, where they served as an Assistant Director in Transaction Advisory Services. Jan also had a brief secondment at Scottish Enterprise as an Investment Manager from May 2012 to February 2013. In addition, they gained experience at Royal Bank of Scotland as a Secondment in High Risk from October 2005 to October 2006 and at Whitbread plc as a Financial Accountant from October 1999 to June 2001.

Jan started their career at KPMG as an Audit Senior from August 1996 to August 1999.

Jan Robertson has a BA (Hons) in Finance from the University of Strathclyde. Jan attended Dalziel High School, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
