Amira Thabet

Amira Thabet has a diverse work experience spanning over the years. Amira is currently the Director of Engineering at Scout24 Group, starting in July 2022. Prior to this, they had a role as a Managing Partner and Chief Technology Officer at The Datum Company since October 2018.

Before that, Thabet worked at Link Development, starting in July 2014 until December 2016. During their time there, they held various roles such as Head of Mobile Solutions, Head of R&D Unit/Hashtagy Product, Mobile Apps Manager, and Mobile Apps Technical Lead. Amira was responsible for leading the mobile solutions business unit, delivering mobile projects, managing client relationships, and exploring mobile technology.

Thabet also has experience in academia, particularly as a Research & Teaching Assistant at the German University in Cairo from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, they worked as a Researcher at the Department of Compiler Construction and Programming Methodology in 2006.

Early in their career, Thabet worked as a Student Assistant for the Vice President of Student Affairs at AUC, where they contributed to the computerization process of student and faculty records. Amira also gained valuable experience in technical training as a trainee at both Fujitsu and IBM.

Amira Thabet completed their education history in a chronological manner. Amira first attended the International School of Choueifat in Abu Dhabi, UAE from 1987 to 1995, where they received their Primary & High School education. Amira then attended Dar El Tarbiah in Cairo, Egypt from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained their International General Certificate of Secondary Education (I.G.C.S.E.).

Amira then enrolled at The American University in Cairo from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Following that, they studied at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport from 2002 to 2003, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science.

In 2016, Amira attended Squared Online, an online digital marketing program, which they completed in 2017. Amira also obtained a certification from Squared Online in April 2017.
