Paul Baez

Paul Baez is a Director at Secretariat, where he provides consulting services and serves as an expert witness on damages in international disputes. He is a native Spanish speaker and specializes in projects within Latin America. Mr. Baez has assisted clients covering a wide range of industries including financial services, energy, telecommunications, food processing, agriculture, oil & gas, infrastructure concessions, real estate, airport services, and mining. His experience is global, with past cases in Central America, South America, Caribbean, Europe, East Asia, and Africa.

Mr. Baez joined Secretariat as part of the Versant Partners team that was acquired by the firm in August 2021. Prior to joining Secretariat, he spent three years at Versant Partners and six years in the international arbitration practice at a publicly traded consulting firm. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago. He also holds an MBA in Finance and Infrastructure, Master of Science in Applied Economics, and a Graduate Certificate in Financial Management from Johns Hopkins University.
