Alaina Howe is a Senior Scientist at Senda Biosciences, with a tenure beginning in May 2021, and has previously held positions as Scientist II and Scientist. Prior experience includes a role as a Researcher PhD Student at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering from June 2017 to February 2021, where Alaina developed and characterized innovative drug delivery systems for treating Trastuzumab-resistant breast cancer. This work involved utilizing diffusion-driven and targeting-driven carriers while analyzing their microdistributions in vitro and in vivo. Earlier, Alaina completed a summer internship at the Air Force Research Laboratory in 2014, assisting in research on solar excitation photochemistry. Alaina holds a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins, a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Rutgers University, and a BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Delaware.
