Brian Walstrom has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Brian started their career at the University of Minnesota, where they worked as a Learning Assistant and later as an Undergraduate Research Assistant II. During this time, they conducted complex calculations, designed computer simulations, and collaborated with CERN on experimental physics research projects. Brian also had the opportunity to travel to CERN for onsite research.

After their time at the university, Brian transitioned into the education sector and worked as a Physics Teacher at the Army and Navy Academy. In this role, they prepared course materials, collaborated with colleagues on teaching and research issues, and evaluated and revised curricula.

Brian then shifted gears and entered the software engineering field. Brian worked at companies such as SeeScan and Sensata Technologies, where they held roles as a Software Algorithm Engineer and Principal Software Engineer, respectively. Currently, they are employed at Xirgo Technologies, LLC, where they have held various positions including Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Lead Software Engineer.

Throughout their career, Brian has gained expertise in software engineering, physics education, and research.

Brian Walstrom received their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Minnesota in 2011. Brian also earned a Master of Education degree in Secondary Science Education from the same university during the same time period. Prior to attending the University of Minnesota, Brian completed their secondary education at Wayzata High School from 2003 to 2007.
