A.G. has been working in the software engineering industry since 2004. A. began their career as a Unix System Administrator, Open Source Developer, Network Access Control Programmer, and Network Technician at Pacific Lutheran University. In 2013, they moved to the University of Chicago as a Postdoctoral Scholar, where they led and supported research projects funded by the John Templeton Foundation, U.S. NSF, NCSES, Air Force, DARPA, DOE and the Neubauer Collegium. In 2016, they transitioned to Dalhousie University as a Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2017, they became a Lecturer in Data Science at Goldsmiths, University of London. Currently, A.G. is a Senior Software Engineer at SenseOn.

A.G. attended Pacific Lutheran University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. They then attended University College Dublin from 2008 to 2010, where they earned a Master's degree in Cognitive Science. Finally, they attended Trinity College Dublin from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Science.
