John Whitehurst

John Whitehurst has a diverse work experience, primarily in the transportation sector. John has held various senior management positions in different companies, including Serco, Railway Paths Ltd, Merseyrail, Djurgårdens Färjetrafik AB, Network Rail, Carillion, GT Railway Maintenance Limited, Central Infrastructure Maintenance Company, and British Rail Signal & Telecommunications Department. Throughout their career, John has demonstrated expertise in strategic leadership, business development, contract management, and operational excellence. John has successfully led teams and delivered results while ensuring customer satisfaction and prioritizing health and safety.

John Whitehurst has a Bachelor's degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Bradford, which they obtained from 1989 to 1993. John also completed their A' Levels in Physics, Maths, and Chemistry at The Manor School from 1982 to 1989. In 2006 to 2007, they received a Post Graduate Award in Strategic Leadership from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School. Additionally, in 2011 to 2012, they earned a National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety from NEBOSH. In 2016, John attended the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, for the Serco Management Programme.
