Sacha Heath

Sacha Heath is a highly experienced scientist with a focus on ecology and environmental science. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at the San Francisco Estuary Institute since February 2022, Sacha previously held the position of Biodiversity Postdoctoral Fellow at the Living Earth Collaborative at Washington University in St. Louis from June 2019 to February 2022. Academic contributions include a PhD in Ecology from the University of California, Davis, completed in August 2018, and an MSc in Natural Resources: Wildlife from Cal Poly Humboldt. Prior roles include serving as an avian ecologist and Eastern Sierra Nevada Program Director at Point Blue Conservation Science, as well as co-founding OIKONOS-ECOSYSTEM KNOWLEDGE, which focuses on integrative science and conservation efforts. Sacha's extensive research experience includes involvement in avian research and monitoring projects, with a strong emphasis on habitat use, demography, and conservation policy.
