Brandon Ly, MPH has a diverse work experience. Brandon began their career in 2011 as a Freelance Photographer. In 2018, they were a Graduate Student in the Planning and Implementing Health Promotion Programs Course at The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health. In 2019, they were a George Washington University Practicum Intern at NACCHO, Environmental Health, where they conducted site visits with Fairfax County Health Department regarding food safety and disease vectors. Brandon also worked as a Graduate Student at The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health in 2019 and completed their MPH Program Thesis titled "Improving Vaccination Rates in Osceola County, FL". In 2021, they worked as a Consumer Experience Specialist at AdventHealth, where they resolved a years-long process issue which resulted in dramatic decreases in dead-air phone calls, assisted the clinical team in triaging COVID-19 patients, and acted as a first point of contact with the AdventHealth system for COVID-19 inquiries, helping thousands of patients. Brandon also worked as a Consumer Experience Specialist - VirusHQ, enrolling individuals into the mass vaccination events. In 2022, they were a Community Success Manager at Shamrck and a began studying Salesforce Certifications in PepUp Tech's Intermediate Salesforce Administrator progrma.

Brandon Ly, MPH has a comprehensive education history. Brandon then attended the University of Central Florida from 2011 to 2016 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences Pre-Clincal Concentration. In 2017, they obtained an Introduction to Biomedical Imaging certification from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. From 2015 to 2020, they obtained several certifications from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including Principles of Prevention, Community Health Worker Training Resource for Preventing Heart Disease and Stroke, Health Literacy for Public Health Professionals, and Immunization: You Call the Shots. In 2010, they obtained an Adobe Certified Associate in Visual Communication using Photoshop CS3 certification from Adobe. In 2016, they completed 12/30 credits for a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Central Florida before transitioning to an MPH program in 2018, where they began attending The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health and earned a Master of Public Health in 2020. In December 2020, they obtained a Certified in Public Health (CPH) certification from the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE) and in December 2022, obtained a Salesforce Certified Associate certification from Salesforce.

Fun fact

I have been doing photography for many years and enjoy using film cameras. I develop my own film and scan the negatives.

  • How would you describe your strengths?

    I would say I have strong dedication and attention to detail. I am prompt when it comes to work being assigned and will iron out all the kinks down to the last detail.
