The Creative Director,  Brand and Content is a pivotal leadership role responsible for defining and amplifying SheerID’s brand identity on a global scale. As a member of the senior marketing team, you will be instrumental in shaping the company’s strategic direction by establishing a unified and compelling brand voice that resonates across diverse markets. This role requires a visionary leader who can marry strategic thinking with creative execution, ensuring that our brand is not only recognized but also respected and trusted as the leading global identity/community marketing solutions provider.

In this role, you will lead our internal agency services team and be tasked with creating a cohesive brand narrative that cuts through the noise of a crowded marketplace, clearly articulating our value proposition and positioning SheerID as the global leader in our space. You will work closely with the executive team to align brand strategy with business objectives, driving initiatives that enhance brand equity, customer loyalty, and market share.You will lead and inspire a global team of creatives, guiding them to produce innovative, high-impact work that aligns with our brand ethos. Your role will extend beyond traditional brand management to encompass content strategy and execution, ensuring that all touchpoints—from digital campaigns and website content to thought leadership and sales materials—are consistently on-brand and effectively communicate our message.

As a global leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that our brand and content strategies are culturally relevant and effective across various regions, adapting global strategies to local markets without compromising on brand integrity. You will be expected to leverage market insights, data, and analytics to continuously refine and optimize our brand and content approaches, keeping SheerID at the forefront of the industry.

Reporting to the SVP of Global Marketing, the Creative Director, Brand and Content will be responsible for collaborative, high-quality brand championship and design execution at SheerID, as well as for the complex, end-to-end project management for all creative work.  With a stellar background in design and internal and external communications, this role will elevate and complement SheerID’s current in-house capabilities in delivering on-time, on-message assets while informing new and innovative ways to tell the SheerID story.

Role Specific Job Duties:

  • Define and drive the global brand strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market opportunities. Evolve and articulate a compelling brand positioning that differentiates SheerID.
  • Define the brand voice, persona, ethos and visual identity that will engage with the world’s largest brands to support GTM campaign execution.
  • Bring the SheerID brand to life through one-of-a-kind brand campaigns and creative brand concepts that target our business and developer audiences.
  • Work with the team to provide vision and strategy around brand campaigns to execute them in a results and metrics driven fashion.
  • Define the content strategy for elevating SheerID into the thought leader we aspire to be in our space, culminating in a comprehensive calendar of activities aligning social media, PR, blog and other content.
  • Manage joint marketing opportunities with customers and partners to drive SheerID brand narrative.
  • Oversee the creative, brand growth and corporate events team to align with overall brand objectives and messaging.
  • Uses qualitative and quantitative data to help drive and support overall brand decisions, as well as measure brand campaign effectiveness.
  • Manage end-to-end development of content with internal teams, ensuring all production deliverables are met on-time and within scope on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Expertly and independently communicate product messaging into accurate, targeted, and compelling content.
  • Propose new content marketing tactics, opportunities, and audiences that support our overall growth targets against defined global ICPs.
  • Serve as a gatekeeper to the creative services team, managing workloads and forecasting creative bandwidths.
  • Work as functional designer and collaborative partner with Product to ensure brand alignment for our products and services.
  • Create, finalize, and share with staff a new SheerID brand style guide/architecture, transforming disparate pieces of brand-related information into one, cohesive and available package for internal and external stakeholders (partners, agencies, etc.).

Required Skills / Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant design and brand management experience, with increasing responsibility and demonstrated growth in role, scope, and sophistication.
  • Excellent understanding of website and digital as a brand, demand/lead generation, and corporate communication tool, with a clear stance on how to provide a great user experience and drive leads.
  • Proven team player with a positive, proactive attitude with great interpersonal skills; ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external teams, and be solid support for team members while nurturing the talent of direct reports.
  • Be results oriented and accountable; must take ownership of all assigned responsibilities and adhere to deadlines.
  • Work effectively under pressure, all while meeting deadlines, delivering superior (i.e. right-the-first-time) results, and keeping the focus on SheerID customers and partners.
  • Expert experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (.PSD, .INDD, .AI) and its various other components.
  • Proven ability to identify new audiences and opportunities, create a strategy, and execute the strategy.
  • Passion for creativity, innovation and making complex topics and systems accessible and understandable.
  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to convert quantitative & qualitative research into actionable insights.
  • Excellent program management skill set able to identify work streams, plan rollouts and execute.
  • Background in building brands inclusive of audiences that span wide functions and geographies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, creatives, product marketers, content marketers, and campaign managers of all levels.
  • Has a global mindset and understanding about how the brand message should be adapted for different regions.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing integrated brand campaigns across multiple media forms with measurable impact on business results.

Strongly Preferred Experience:

  • Proven and progressive experience working as a strategic brand leader in the B2B2C technology space.
  • Experience in Asana, Trello, Basecamp, or other project management tracking software when used to track and manage both website and creative services work.
  • Proven leadership skills, with at least 5 years of experience directly managing creative teams (designers, writers, etc.); ability to inspire and bring out the best in staff.
