Davey Slimmon

Davey Slimmon has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the technology industry. Starting in 1998, they worked at Open Text Corporation as a Manager of Customer Support, where they led a global team and provided support for OpenText's Record Management software. Davey also delivered training to customers and participated in industry working groups.

In 2006, Slimmon joined Autonomy ZANTAZ as a Knowledge Manager, where they managed the vendor selection process for a large-scale Knowledge Base project. Davey developed and deployed the complete Knowledge Base solution and authored technical articles.

From 2008 to 2016, Slimmon worked at OpenText, first as a Senior Director of Customer Support, leading a global team in transitioning OpenText Customer Services to an online and self-service experience. Later, they became Vice President of Global Technical Support, where they led a team of over 800 support agents and acted as the primary point of escalation for key customer implementations.

In 2016, Slimmon joined Espial as Director of Customer Care, where they led a global team in delivering technical support to customers worldwide and negotiated contracts with external clients and partners. Davey then moved to IFS in 2018, serving in multiple roles concurrently, including Director of Cloud Engineering and Director of Global Support, where they supported IFS cloud customers and led organizational change initiatives.

Most recently, as of July 2021, Slimmon works at Shinydocs as the VP of Customer Success, where they guide the strategic direction of the company and engages in business development activities. Additionally, they serve as the Technical Product Manager, collaborating with stakeholders to shape the development of key products and participating in special projects.

Davey Slimmon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wilfrid Laurier University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Subsequently, from 1994 to 1996, they pursued a Master of Library and Information Sciences degree at Western University.
