David O'Brien

David O'Brien has over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. David began their career in 1988 as a Research Assistant, Lead Teaching Assistant, and Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 1991, they joined Arnold Magnetic Technologies as a Technical Manager, Applications Engineer, Product Manager, and Process Engineer. From 2005 to 2014, they held various positions at Covidien, such as Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Plant Engineering Manager, and Senior Project Engineer. Since 2014, they have been with SINTX Technologies as Chief Operating Officer, Vice President/General Manager, and Vice President of Operations and Manufacturing. In these roles, they have been responsible for overseeing multiple strategic changes within the company, leading fundraising efforts, and managing all operations within the Salt Lake facility.

David O'Brien obtained a BS in Physics from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 1988 and a MS in Ceramic Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1991. David also obtained a Lean Leader certification from Covidien in 2007 and a Powder Metal Technologist, Level I certification from the American Powder Metallurgy Institute in January 1996.
