Neil Bennett has extensive work experience in the field of bioscience. neil began their career in 1990 as a Research Technician at De Montford University, where they conducted anoxic cytotoxic and liver metabolism studies. In 1992, they moved to the University of Leicester, working as a Research Technician in a Vaccine Group, focusing on creating vaccines for Streptococcus pneumoniae and Clostridia Perfringens. neil then joined the Medical Research Council as a Scientific Officer, where they investigated the effects of antioxidants and free radical damage on DNA, as well as the profile of antioxidants in the aging brain.

In 1997, Neil joined AstraZeneca as a Senior Research Bioscientist. Here, they were involved in assay design, development, and transfer for hit finding and screening groups. Their work included building assays for a range of targets in oncology, using purified and immuno-precipitated protein preparations. neil managed the lifetime of the assays, ensuring their successful transition from development to hit confirmation.

In 2018, Neil moved to the University of Oxford and the Oxford Drug Discovery Unit as a PDRA. Their role involved conducting research and drug discovery activities.

Most recently, Neil joined Sitryx Therapeutics and Sitryx as a Senior Scientist in 2019. Their responsibilities in this role are not specified.

Neil Bennett completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biological Chemistry from the University of Leicester from 1986 to 1989.
