Rubén Escalona Pereiro has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Rubén currently works as an Air Vehicle Senior Design Engineer at Skydweller Aero since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at ALESTIS AEROSPACE for a significant period of time, starting in April 2009. At ALESTIS AEROSPACE, Rubén held the roles of A350 XWB Chief Design from November 2017 to March 2020 and A350 XWB Structure Lead Designer from April 2009 to November 2017. In these roles, they were involved in research and technologies, leading design tasks for new concepts and stiffened panels. Before joining ALESTIS AEROSPACE, Rubén worked at Denel Aviation as a Composite and Metallic Designer from February 2007 to January 2009, where they focused on sandwich composite panel design for the A400M Wing Fuselage Fairing MSN 1 & 6 programme. Prior to that, Rubén worked at Airbus Group as a Composite Designer from May 2005 to January 2007, specializing in monolithic and sandwich composite and metallic structure design for various aircraft programs. Their tasks also included the generation, validation, and liberation of 2D and 3D models. Rubén's career in the aerospace industry began at Aries Complex, where they worked as a Quality Engineer from September 2003 to October 2004. In this role, they provided support to the Quality Direction for the design, manufacturing, and assembly of aerospace structures of composite in A380 and Falcon7x programmes for companies like Airbus and EADS.
Rubén Escalona Pereiro attended Politecnica de Madrid from 1998 to 2004. During this time, they pursued a degree in Ingeniero Tecnico Aeronautico, specializing in the field of Aeronaves.
