Daryl Thomas

Daryl Thomas has accumulated a diverse range of work experience over the years. Daryl is currently employed at SkySlope, where they hold the position of Engineering Manager since March 2022. Prior to this role, Daryl served as the Engineering Team Lead from November 2019. Daryl initially started at SkySlope as a Software Engineer in January 2019.

Before joining SkySlope, Daryl worked at Intel Corporation for a significant period. Daryl began their tenure there in June 2014 as an Application Developer and continued till December 2018. During their time at Intel, Daryl was involved in several projects, including the development of the Intel Foundry Services web portal. Daryl'sresponsibilities encompassed working on the .NET MVC backend, utilizing Kendo UI and JavaScript for the front-end, and managing the Microsoft SQL Server database layer. Additionally, they performed server and database management tasks, such as certificate installations, database replication, and ETL jobs with SSIS. One of their notable achievements was creating an administrative tool that significantly reduced the time required to complete certain tasks from three days to less than an hour. Daryl also contributed to the development of a self-service user management tool, an ordering service for design samples, and a unified interface for accessing static content shared on the portal.

Besides their experience at Intel, Daryl co-founded Gearmo in January 2016, where they worked as a Co-founder until September 2018. Daryl also contributed to Boston University as a CS111/CS112 Course Assistant from September 2012 to May 2014.

Daryl gained early work experience as an Application Developer Intern at Intel Corporation from June 2012 to August 2013. Daryl also had technical internships at State Street in the summer of 2011 and served as an Event Technician at Boston University Student Production Services from September 2010 to June 2011.
