Umang Shah

Umang Shah has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Business Resilience at Smart DCC, where they are involved in the digitization of Britain's energy infrastructure. Prior to this, they worked at Pramerica for a significant duration, taking on roles such as Head of Process Engineering & Transformation, Head of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, and Head of Technical Business Management. Before joining Pramerica, Umang worked as a Project Manager at Applitech Solution Ltd. and as a Consultant at Sarvottam Industries Ltd. Umang began their career as an Audit and Finance Consultant at Kunte & Modha Chartered Accountants.

Umang Shah's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Strategic Management, Change Management, and International Finance from Aberdeen Business School (AMBA accredited) - The Robert Gordon University, which was obtained from 2002 to 2003. Prior to that, Umang Shah completed a Young Software Manager program in Information Technology and Project Management from Techno Campus, India in 2000. Umang Shah also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of Calcutta, which was completed from 1990 to 1993.

In addition to formal education, Umang Shah has obtained several certifications. These include being a Member of The Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), obtained from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) in March 2020, and the Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), obtained from the same institution in October 2019. Umang Shah also holds certifications in Agile Project Management from ICAgile, obtained in March 2019, and in being an ICAgile Certified Professional, obtained in October 2018. Other certifications include ITIL Foundation from APMG-International, obtained in September 2014, and Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance, obtained in December 2009.
