SmartSkin Technologies provides manufacturing optimization solutions globally to the food, beverage, & pharmaceutical sectors. Smart Skin serves 18 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies in the world and 6 of the 7 major beverage brands with its patented and award-winning Quantifeel™ sensor and software solutions. While most of our engineering and production activities are undertaken in New Brunswick, Canada, our global presence is increasing with team members located in centers like Atlanta, Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Munich, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Tokyo. 

We are looking for a results-oriented Senior Product Manager to join our growing team. Our Senior Product Manager will collaborate with a cross-functional team to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for new products and enhancements to existing SmartSkin products, based on market research, customer feedback, and business goals. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, sales leaders, and marketers, the Product Manager ensures that our products meet customer needs and are delivered on time and within budget. Using data and metrics to track performance, the Product Manager helps make  informed decisions about future enhancements or updates. 

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing functionalities of an important application segment across multiple platforms.

As Senior Product Manager you will:

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our sensor technology products in the beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

  • Work closely with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to develop and launch new products and features.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create go-to-market strategies and promotional campaigns.

  • Analyze product performance data and customer feedback to drive product improvements and enhancements.

  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring product quality and profitability.

  • Act as a product expert, providing training and support to internal teams and customers.

  • Act as a liaison between the development team and other stakeholders, such as sales, customer support, and senior management, to ensure alignment and drive the success of the product.

  • Mastering the lifecycle of your functionality and the use cases for our customers

  • Mastering and evolving all metrics, use cases, processes and personas

  • Define the vision and strategy for the assigned features to maximize the value delivered

  • Update your backlog and roadmap independently

  • Define key success indicators and track them

  • Integrate event instrumentation into feature development

  • Analyze adoption, retention and engagement metrics

  • Create a circle of customers with whom you will frequently communicate to discuss their problems and validate your potential solutions.  Lead brainstorming and requirements gathering sessions with clients.

  • Analyze the competition’s offering

  • Collaborate with the different stakeholders of the company.  Collaborate and create links with the engineering teams

  • Create complete and well-sequenced user stories

  • Contribute to client presentations and conferences

  • Keep abreast of new trends in the industry and manufacturing environment

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline

  • Experience in the following areas: product management, customer relations, Scrum methodology, data analysis, mobile and web applications, design, quality analysis and user experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years of  experience in a SAAS digital product team;

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry would be an asset.  Pharma or Beverages experience, a plus.

  • You are a critical thinker, responsive to changing priorities, demands, and deadlines, with analytical/data and problem solving-skills in a high-pressure environment.  Strategic and open-minded

  • Ability to lead brainstorming and requirements gathering sessions with both customers and  and internal stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated rigor in execution and quality of deliverables

  • A team player who collaborates and supports colleagues and who leads by example

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)

  • A willingness to travel in North America and internationally (10%)
