Veronica Curran is the current Chief People & Culture Officer at SmartBear. Prior to their current position, Veronica served as the Chief People Officer at Alumni Ventures Group from November 2020 to July 2022. In this role, Veronica was responsible for leading the people strategy, engagement, and culture at AV. Veronica also built and managed the talent & development team to support growth, opportunity and engagement for AV teammates. Additionally, they increased awareness of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at AV by providing new opportunities to underrepresented communities in both the company and industry. Veronica was a strategic partner to the CEO & Executive team on all things related to People & Culture.

Before joining Alumni Ventures Group, Veronica served as the Vice President, Global Head of People & Culture Operations at Flywire from June 2019 to October 2020. In this role, Veronica led the Global P&C Operations, Talent and Admin teams across APAC, Europe and North & South America. Veronica built a strategic approach to scale with focus on defining, driving and understanding business strategic imperatives. Veronica also partnered with Leadership to drive effective, attainable, measurable goals into the TA & P&C practice. Additionally, they droved the strategy and execution of the P&C team’s focus and deliverables. Some of their key focus areas included:

- Operations, Benefits & Compensation - taking a fair and data driven approach to benchmarking, benefits and compensation review across 11 offices and almost 500 employees.

- Partnering with the business throughout the planning and execution of our FlyMate programs, tying back to business strategy and planning.

- Talent Management & Career Pathing - creating a framework for all of Flywire roles within each department to help manage career paths for every FlyMate.

- Onboarding Program; relaunching Flywire's onboarding program and partnering with L&D to create the best remote onboarding experience.

- Culture & Communication; spearheading FlyBytes a program for sharing knowledge that intrigues, inspires and informs FlyMates on topics relevant to Flywire. Supporting and driving programs for FlyMates happiness.

- Talent Acquisition; designing and restructuring TA practices, process and structure to build a scalable approach to Talent Acquisition globally.

Veronica Curran has a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology from Emerson College and is certified in Predictive Indexing from Predictive Index Certification.
