Vice President, Marketing at Smartcat

Andrew Federici, MBA has over 20 years of experience in the field of marketing. Andrew began their career in 2001 as a Product Manager at AOL, where they led growth and monetization for one of the leading messaging applications in the world, AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). In 2005, they moved to IAC as Director of Online Properties and was the General Manager of Excite.com, leading a turnaround of the property back to double digit growth. In 2007, they joined MTV Networks as Vice President of Online Properties, leading teams of product, marketing, engineering across a portfolio of advertising-based online media businesses. In 2009, they moved to Affinion Group (Apollo Global Management, LLC) as Senior Vice President of Marketing, leading a team of 35 across creative, strategy and engineering to drive $100MM of ARR across B2B2C and B2C subscription services. In 2012, they became Head of Marketing at Hightail and in 2013, they joined Scoop.it as Chief Revenue Officer, leading sales, marketing and customer success to bring the start-up to break even in 3 years. In 2017, they moved to Facebook as Head of Web Strategy, Global Business Marketing and in 2018, they became Head of Product at Koble Inc. In 2019, they joined DayTwo as Vice President of Marketing and in 2022, they moved to Smartcat as Vice President of Marketing.

Andrew Federici has a diverse educational background. Andrew earned an MBA in Marketing from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business in 2002. Before that, they earned a BA in English/Creative Writing from Haverford College. Andrew also studied French, English, and Politics at Highgate School, and attended St. Bernard's School and The Episcopal School in the City of New York.
