Sejun Park

Director of Hardware at Snackpass

Sejun Park has a diverse range of work experience in hardware development and manufacturing roles. Sejun is currently serving as the Head of Hardware at Snackpass, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Hardware Lead at the same company from October 2021 to June 2022.

Before joining Snackpass, Sejun worked as a Technical Program Manager at Zoox from July 2021 to October 2021.

Sejun also has experience in the construction industry, having held roles at Social Construct. Sejun served as the Director of Manufacturing from February 2021 to June 2021, where they successfully integrated a just-in-time (JIT) supply chain system into the construction site. Prior to that, they were the Sr. Manager of Manufacturing from August 2019 to February 2021.

Before joining Social Construct, Sejun founded and served as the CEO of Aalo (YC W18) from January 2017 to July 2019. Aalo is a furniture company that created an innovative lego-like furniture system, leveraging efficient manufacturing and process design to create affordable and sustainable furniture.

Sejun has also worked as a Freelancer, specializing in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) consulting and providing support in prototyping and industrial design from 2018 to 2019.

Their earlier experience includes roles at Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, where they served as a Specialist - Final Assembly Engineering from June 2013 to June 2016. Sejun led final assembly manufacturing projects and specialized in chassis and trim assembly development. Sejun also worked as a Production Engineering Co-op from September 2011 to April 2012, supporting assembly equipment designs.

Sejun started their career as a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op at Siemens Power Generation Canada from January 2011 to April 2011, where they performed quality analysis for gas turbine engine production.

In addition, Sejun co-founded the Coupra Mobile Coupon Application in January 2010 and worked as a Co-Founder until February 2011. Sejun also worked as a Research Analyst at Caneta Research Inc from September 2009 to August 2010, assisting with HVAC calculations for energy efficiency in commercial buildings.

Sejun Park's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Honours Applied Science with a field of study in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. This degree was obtained between the years 2008 and 2013. Additionally, in 2018, Sejun Park participated in a program at Y Combinator called W18, although the field of study for this program is not specified.
