James Brunger

James Brunger serves as the Associate General Counsel at Snap Inc. since January 2022, co-leading the legal vertical with a focus on privacy, safety, and security laws in the EMEA and APAC regions. Prior to this role, James was Head of Legal and Group Data Protection and Compliance Officer at Grosvenor Group from October 2018 to December 2021, where responsibilities included developing international policies for GDPR and other privacy regulations. James also held positions as Head of Privacy and Data at Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe and Head of Privacy and Compliance at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, contributing to privacy and compliance practices for the PlayStation brand. Earlier in James's career, as an Associate Solicitor at Bristows, advisory work focused on data protection and privacy matters for major technology clients. James holds a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from the University of Oxford, a GDL/CPE and LPC from Nottingham Law School, and a MEng in Information Systems Engineering from Imperial College London.
