Ann Finlayson

Education Advisor at Solar for Schools

Ann is passionate about the role of learning in sustainability and for it to be about real people, real opportunities and real responsibilities. She has worked in the environmental and education field for over 30 years. She is a director and the driving force behind the Sustainability and Environmental Education (SEEd) charity that promotes, and supports education for sustainable development in the UK. SEEd run the National Sustainability Conference in the UK and are Key Partners on the UNESCO Global Action Programme for Education for Sustainable Development. Ann started her career as a researcher and countryside ranger. She has travelled the world teaching, facilitating and consulting on education and was Head of Education/Social Change at WWF-UK as well as the Commissioner for Education and Capability Building for the Sustainable Development Commission (2005-2010).
