Susan Lindsay

Executive Director, People & Culture at Somerville House

Susan Lindsay is currently the Executive Director of People & Culture at Somerville House. Prior to this, they held the position of Human Resources Manager - Defence at Healthcare Australia, where they were responsible for managing a 700-strong clinician workforce across 5 regions, 20 bases, and 72,000 shifts per year. Before their time at Healthcare Australia, Susan was the Board Member and Board Chair at Reading Radio 1296 AM, where they helped empower and engage those with a print disability, vision impairment, or English as a second language living in the greater Brisbane area. Susan has also previous experience working with the Presbyterian & Methodist Schools Association (PMSA).

Susan Lindsay has a Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology with extended majors in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. Susan is also an accredited mediator from The Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators. Susan has completed the Company Director Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Susan has certification from the Institute of Community Directors Australia as a member, and certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian HR Institute as a member.

Susan Lindsay reports to Shane Coppin, CEO. They are on a team with Andrew Cousins - Principal, Clayfield College, Chris Gill - Executive Director, Asset & Property, and Lisa Benneworth - Executive Director, Legal, Risk & Corporate Affairs.
