Aesha Upadhyay

Aesha Upadhyay is an Associate Scientist at Sonata Therapeutics since October 2022, previously serving as a Research Associate II at 1910 Genetics, where roles evolved from Research Associate I to Intern in Translational Biochemistry & Pharmacology between August 2020 and October 2022. Prior experience includes a Graduate Research Student position at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California from November 2018 to August 2020, with a focus on cardiac fibroblasts and angiogenesis under Dr. Jian Xu. Aesha also contributed as an Undergraduate Research Student at Vellore Institute of Technology in Dr. Everette Nelson's lab, enhancing skills in CRISPR-Cas9 technology and cell culture. Additional roles include internships in quality control and drug formulation at Comed Chemicals Limited and a trainee position at Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd. Aesha holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine from USC and a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology.
