Marshall Wang

V.P Engineering at Sonera Magnetics

Marshall Wang has extensive work experience in the semiconductor and wireless industries. Marshall is currently working as the V.P Engineering at Sonera since 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of V.P. Design Engineering at Resonant Inc., A Murata Company from 2019 to 2023. During this time, they built and led a strong filter design team, supported top management for new product feasibility, and worked closely with Murata's manufacturing team during the post-merger integration.

Before joining Resonant Inc., Marshall Wang served as the V.P. Wireless IC Development at Cloudchip, Inc from 2016 to 2018. In this role, they were responsible for wireless SoC product development for IoT/Sensor markets, with a focus on developing competitive Bluetooth Low-Energy SoCs.

From 2010 to 2016, Marshall Wang worked at Cypress Semiconductor as the RFIC Design Director. Here, they were responsible for developing the 3rd generation WirelessUSB products and played a key role in helping Cypress regain its leading position in the 2.4GHz HID market.

Marshall Wang has also co-founded Signia Technologies where they held the position of CTO and Co-founder from 2000 to 2009. In this role, they raised $18M in capital and was responsible for fund-raising, board meetings, and investor communication.

Prior to Signia Technologies, Marshall Wang worked at Repeater Technologies as the Engineering Director from 1996 to 1999. Marshall successfully led a project team to develop state-of-the-art PCS over-the-air Repeaters, which contributed significantly to the company's revenue and facilitated their IPO.

Overall, Marshall Wang's work experience spans various leadership roles in engineering, design, and development across different companies in the semiconductor and wireless industries.

Marshall Wang obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Marshall pursued their doctoral studies from 1985 to 1990.
