Josette Marrero, PhD, is a Senior Air Quality Scientist at Sonoma Technology, Inc., since April 2018, where expertise includes overseeing air quality projects with a focus on industrial and community monitoring. Prior experience includes serving as an Atmospheric Research Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center, involved in the NASA Alpha Jet Atmospheric Experiment (AJAX) for greenhouse gas measurement, and as a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow. Josette's academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry from UC Irvine, where roles included Graduate Teaching Assistant, leading undergraduate discussions and laboratories, and receiving the Outstanding Contributions to Education award. Additionally, Josette contributed as a Graduate Student Mentor in the NASA Student Airborne Research Program, training students in airborne research techniques.
