Andy Cook has more than 15 years of experience in various HR roles and academia. Andy is currently the Head of Human Capital Strategy at SOPHiA GENETICS since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Villanova University and Thomas Jefferson University, teaching courses related to human relations and employee development. Andy also held roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific as Manager and Senior Partner in HR Insights and Analytics from 2019 to 2021. In addition, they served as an Adjunct Faculty at Stevenson University and participated in the Measures and Metrics (MAM) Standards Taskforce as a member of ANSI/SHRM. Earlier in their career, they gained experience in talent acquisition as a Recruiter at Ciena and Laureate Education, Inc. Andy started their career as an Executive Recruiter at Ajilon.
Andy Cook's education history began in 1996 when they enrolled at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Andy pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, which they successfully completed in 2000.
After working for a few years, Andy Cook decided to pursue further education and enrolled at Walden University in 2007. Andy pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Human Resources. Andy completed their studies in 2009 and obtained their degree.
Andy Cook continued their education at Walden University and pursued a Doctor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. Andy spent six years studying and successfully completed their degree in 2015.
