Arjun Ishwar

Arjun Ishwar has a diverse work experience in various scientific roles. Arjun is currently the Senior Director of SME & Customer Success at SOPHiA GENETICS, where they have held positions at different levels of management since 2019. In their roles at SOPHiA GENETICS, Arjun has played a central role in expanding a Western US territory, driving adoption of NGS assays, and building important client relationships.

Prior to their time at SOPHiA GENETICS, Arjun worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Scientist in Field Applications, gaining expertise in genomics, laboratory automation, and cross-functional leadership. Arjun also had a role as the Lead of Next-Generation Sequencing and Microarray divisions at the Molecular Genetic Pathology laboratory in Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Arjun's earlier experiences include research roles at GlaxoSmithKline, University of Kansas Medical Center, Viracor-IBT Laboratories, and East Carolina University. Arjun Ishwar's education history begins in 2005 when they attended Vellore Institute of Technology. Arjun completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Biotechnology in 2009. From 2009 to 2010, Arjun studied Comparative Genomics at East Carolina University but did not obtain a degree. Arjun then pursued a Master of Science in Molecular Biotechnology at The University of Kansas from 2010 to 2012.

Arjun also obtained additional certifications throughout their career. In February 2014, they became a Technologist in Molecular Biology, MB (ASCP) through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Later, in July 2017, they obtained the Customer Allegiance certification from Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Additionally, Arjun studied Data Analysis for Life Sciences with a focus on Genome Sciences/Genomics at Harvard University, although the exact duration of this education is not specified.
