Armen Chakmakjian

Armen Chakmakjian has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Armen began their career as a Principal Software Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation and later held the role of Software Engineering Manager at Teradyne. Armen then transitioned to Vision Solutions, Inc., where they served as a Senior Development Manager and later as the Director of Product Development and Services.

After this, Armen joined Intuit as a Senior Manager of Product Development, working on the Intuit QuickBase and the Intuit Partner Platform. Armen then moved to Constant Contact as the Director of SaaS Development, focusing on delivering customer-centric value across various products.

Armen's career continued at Kronos Incorporated, where they served as a Senior Director of Engineering, responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of new features and enhancements to Kronos's Workforce Central Suite and Mobile Applications.

Currently, Armen is working at Sophos, first as the Director of Software Development for Sophos Central Features, leading the development of a cloud platform integrating endpoint security and other functionalities. Armen then progressed to roles such as Senior Director of Software Development for the Messaging Security Group and ultimately Vice President of Software Development.

In addition to their professional experience, Armen has also self-published books, including a Sci-Fi novel named "Urtaru" and a travelogue called "Passage Through Armenia". These books are available on various online platforms.

Armen Chakmakjian holds an MBA degree with a dual concentration in Marketing and Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University, which they completed from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a BS degree in Computer Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology between 1982 and 1987. Additionally, they completed a program on Business and Strategy at Babson College in 2012. Armen also briefly attended MIT Sloan School of Management in 2007 for finance studies. Armen Chakmakjian received their high school diploma from Fairfield College Preparatory School from 1978 to 1982.
